Exhibitions
In collaboration with Sina Villa Medici and parallel to Biennale Firenze, ELtouch Art Group presented a selection of Mohsen Gholami and Niloofar Mousavi‘s sculptures, showcasing cultural depth, personal expression, and artistic skill.
Mohsen Gholami
Mohsen Gholami is an Iranian sculptor and art historian trained by Parviz Tanavoli and Dr. Sami Azar. Gholami is also a member of the Iranian Sculptors Association, and participated in many group exhibitions.
In this collection, Gholami explores illusions through the figure of a hippopotamus, highlighting contradictions between the expected and unexpected in everyday life. His sculptures invite reflection on perception and reality.
Niloofar Mousavi
Niloufar Mousavi is a sculptor and designer from Tehran, Iran. Mousavi’s sculptures explore the connection between feminine discourse and the spaces women inhabit, emphasizing the tensions in women’s language and life. Her works reflect the imbalanced experiences of women shaped by societal and traditional restrictions. Through a feminist lens, the pieces separate female experience from visual beauty, portraying the repressed body that still bears beauty’s weight.

Curated by Donya Moshrefi in August 2024, ELtouch exhibited Nilouvar Mousavi‘s lastest sculpture collection called “Situation”.
Niloofar Mousavi’s sculptures focuse on the connection between feminine discourse and the space in which women live, highlighting the tensions and gaps in women’s language. The female figures in these works reflect the imbalanced life experience of women, influenced by the restrictive structures of society and traditions. Based on a feminist approach, the works distinguish the female experience from visual beauty, showing the repressed body that, even in its most difficult state, carries a burden of beauty.
This event was accompanied by special guests including Alberto Stefano Giovannetti, the mayor of Pietrasanta.

Our body is our first point of contact with the world. With it, we feel, perceive, think and move through the world. But this same extraordinary body is sometimes our greatest limitation. Legislators use our bodies against our freedom. We are often discriminated against in our bodily expressions. These five Iranian artists have used the same limiting element as the main feature of their artworks, making it their means to emancipate and explore freedom in their imagination.
